Audit & Research

The beginning of a project is the most important part, so right from the start we work with you to understand what you need your website to do, and translate your objectives into a clear website brief.

We listen and learn

Web Audit & ResearchPart of that understanding comes from reviewing your current website. We review your web stats to learn about your existing visitors and their behaviour patterns – what user paths are working already and what could benefit from changing.

Your existing content, website structure, and technology platform will also form part of the audit.

How long does this take and why is it important?

Though this is a relatively short stage, it means that we are better able to design and build a website that meets your business goals, meets your customers’ needs and gets found in the search engines. In a way, this is the part where everything comes together. It’s where we all gain a good solid understanding of what needs to be done, and when.

Planning and briefing

Taking the time to research your business and website allows us to create a project plan that details what needs designing, what content needs rewriting, what needs writing from scratch, and when it must be built in order to launch on time and on budget. During this stage, we create the site map, website strategy and set you up with a client Basecamp account so we can share everything with you at every stage of the project.

Our collaborative approach means working with you at every stage to get things right. When you are happy that the brief captures what you need, we move on to the next stage.

What is Basecamp?

Basecamp is an efficient project management and collaboratoin website that lets us securely share documents, designs, and tasks with you, without needing to email everything back and forth. Everything is password protected and backed up, so it can’t be lost.
