Devastating new loss for Myspace

Beleaguered social networking site Myspace has lost a devastating 50 million users since February 2010, according to figures released this week. It’s the latest in a series of misfortunes for what used to be the web’s top social networking site. Google to clamp down on domain name keywords

Following recent crackdowns on content farms, Google has now turned its attention to keywords in domain names. Matt Cutts, head of Google’s webspam team, has released a YouTube video in which he suggests that websites who use keywords in their domain names - usually as part of a link building strategy - might be in for a bumpy ride all the way down the SERPs. Ofcom is going to set strict regulations on the amount of 4G spectrum that mobile operators can buy in its 2012 auction. The regulator’s actions will protect smaller operators and ensure competition as fast mobile internet access increases over the next couple of years.
